Match Times

Presently awaiting the new match times for this coming year

Consideration To Our Neighbours

The track up to the Car Parks is not a off-road rally track, A member has already nearly run the farmer off the road.

Any reoccurrence may lead to the loss of Membership.

Barbed Hooks

Whilst the club does not currently have a rule banning Barbed Hooks we ask all Members to be considerate and avoid thier use.

Several fish have been caught recently with what looks like damage from Barbed Hooks, these fish are expensive to buy and its your money.

Crossing The Fields To The Flashes - Do Not Cross Any Fields

Gravel Pathes to all the clubs waters have been provided and must be used at all times

Sorry about the moans but we have always tried to avoid too many rules and we ask that members show consideration.

Lost & Found

There are currently no reports of any lost and found items.

Cross Contamination

None of us want to see the waters contaminated with disease of any kind, so precautions have to be taken by us all.

The DEFRA leaflet "Keep Fish Disease Out" highlights the importance of this and suggests suitable methods of disinfecting your tackle and clothing.

There are several disinfecting methods available, two commonly used methods are,

  • Thoroughly drying equipment for a minimum of 48 hours, preferably in direct sunlight
  • Chemical disinfectants (primarily iodine-based solutions (Iodophors) or Virkon S

Equipment should be keened of all mud debris from your trip, it should be then immersed or sprayed with the chosen disinfectant for 10 to 15 minutes at least, the disinfectant should then be rinsed of in clean water.

Types

Iodophors

  • This includes products such as Losan CCT, Deosan Iodophor Udderwash and FAM30

When active Iodophors are dark brown in colour solution, however they become colourless when inactive by prolonged exposure to light

Virkon S

  • This is available in both powder and tablet form, it should be made up to a 1% solution with water to form a pink solution
  • The solution will stay active for around 5 days, the solution must be kept out of direct sunlight.
